Tobacco in Asunción: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
We run tobacco the same way in Asunción: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Asunción that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Gs2.29 per 10 ml.
The short version: tobacco in Asunción works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco box mod really costs in Asunción
We run tobacco the same way in Asunción: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tobacco in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Asunción, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Asunción.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised Gs28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Gs2.29 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Asunción stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Paraguay sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for tobacco in Asunción must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
