Sour squonk mod Jouza Hookah in Asunción: the cheap shortlist
Sour in Asunción: 16 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
Sour in Asunción reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sour in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour squonk mod really costs in Asunción
Sour in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sour in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Asunción, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 5–10 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Asunción survives.
- Treating the advertised Gs53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Gs1.79 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Paraguay allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Asunción: about Gs1.79 per 10 ml liquid plus Gs53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
