Plain pod kit Jouza Hookah in Asunción: the budget shortlist
Plain in Asunción: 21 units tested over 2 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Plain in Asunción reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Plain in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: plain in Asunción works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Asunción
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Asunción.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Paraguay, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Paraguay sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for plain in Asunción must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within Gs2.76 per 10 ml once 5–10 business days is counted.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Asunción: about Gs2.76 per 10 ml liquid plus Gs32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
