Plain box mod Jouza Hookah in Asunción: the order shortlist
Plain in Asunción: 21 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Asunción that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Gs3.22 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at plain in Asunción, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: plain in Asunción works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain box mod really costs in Asunción
Ordering into Asunción usually means waiting 5–10 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Paraguay, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Asunción stocks.
The rules that apply here
Paraguay has a light regulatory footprint and flexible courier options. Shipping of nicotine to Asunción runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever Paraguay allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does plain in a box mod last?
In Asunción we measured 4 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Asunción: about Gs3.22 per 10 ml liquid plus Gs40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
