Plain box mod Jouza Hookah in Asunción: the budget shortlist
Plain in Asunción: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
Plain in Asunción reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run plain the same way in Asunción: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plain in Asunción works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain box mod really costs in Asunción
Plain in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Paraguay, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Asunción.
Where plain goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Asunción stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Asunción accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Paraguay need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Paraguay has a light regulatory footprint and flexible courier options. Shipping of nicotine to Asunción runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is plain legal to sell in Paraguay?
Paraguay has a light regulatory footprint and flexible courier options.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever Paraguay allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
