Licorice mesh tank Jouza Hookah in Asunción: the best shortlist
Licorice in Asunción: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
A licorice mesh tank from the best options in Asunción costs about Gs2.99 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run licorice the same way in Asunción: same mesh tank, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: licorice in Asunción works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice mesh tank really costs in Asunción
If you are looking at licorice in Asunción, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested licorice in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Asunción, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised Gs50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Gs2.99 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Asunción stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Asunción: about Gs2.99 per 10 ml liquid plus Gs50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How long does licorice in a mesh tank last?
In Asunción we measured 5 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
