How we tested Blackcurrant refill pack here
We run blackcurrant the same way in Asunción: same refill pack, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Blackcurrant in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant refill pack really costs in Asunción
A blackcurrant refill pack from the best options in Asunción costs about Gs2.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested blackcurrant in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Paraguay, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 5–10 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised Gs29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Gs2.5 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should blackcurrant start at?
Start at whatever Paraguay allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Asunción: about Gs2.5 per 10 ml liquid plus Gs29 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
