How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Ordering into Asunción usually means waiting 5–10 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Blackcurrant in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Asunción the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant pen device really costs in Asunción
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Asunción that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Gs2.48 per 10 ml.
How we tested blackcurrant in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Paraguay, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 5–10 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing blackcurrant with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Is blackcurrant legal to sell in Paraguay?
Paraguay has a light regulatory footprint and flexible courier options.
What nicotine strength should blackcurrant start at?
Start at whatever Paraguay allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
How long does blackcurrant in a pen device last?
In Asunción we measured 5 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
