Blackcurrant in Asunción: 18 units tested over 6 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Asunción.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on blackcurrant: 18 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A blackcurrant 100 ml bottle from the starter options in Asunción costs about Gs2.38 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: blackcurrant in Asunción works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a blackcurrant 100 ml bottle really costs in Asunción
Blackcurrant sounds like one product. It is not: a 100 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested blackcurrant in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Paraguay, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for 100 ml bottle in Asunción, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 5–10 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a 100 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Asunción stocks.
- Mixing blackcurrant with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
